We've teamed up with A Kids’ Brain Tumor Cure Foundation (aka The Pediatric Low Grade Astrocytoma (PLGA) Foundation). The PLGA was founded in August 2007, as a 501(c)(3) organization by families and friends dedicated to giving hope to children battling the most common forms of pediatric brain tumors, by raising funds for targeted scientific and medical research. To date, families associated with A Kids’ Brain Tumor Cure Foundation have raised over $11.5 million for research and funded over three dozen new research projects targeted specifically at eradicating the most common forms of children’s brain tumors. These funds have supported the launch of the Dana Farber Cancer Institute’s PLGA Research Program (which Nate is a part of), as well as projects at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Johns Hopkins Medical Center, Massachusetts General Hospital, Univeristy of Pittsburgh Children’s Medical Center, Memorial Sloane Kettering Cancer Center and many others.

A Kids’ Brain Tumor Cure Foundation awards funds to the most promising research in the search for more effective, less toxic treatment options for these potentially devastating childhood brain tumors.
A Kids’ Brain Tumor Cure Foundation actively promotes partnerships with other non-profit organizations, private individuals and government entities and has collaborated on fund raising, education and grant allocations in order to leverage resources and funds.

The goal is to UNITE families around the country and around the world in the FIGHT for the lives of the children who suffer from the most common forms of childhood brain tumors. Together, with your help, we can defeat childhood brain tumors by increasing awareness, education, fundraising and research.

Nate's oncologist, Dr. Mark Kieran, is on their Scientific Advisory Board and has received funds directly from the PLGA to help with his research. Ultimately, we feel that this is the best way to help Nate and our friends we've made along this journey. We hit the $79,000 mark in our fundraising efforts. Thank you all for your support!
